Privacy policy

Version 0.1 · in force since 1 September 2026

1 · Who is the data controller

The controller of your personal data is [to be confirmed], tax ID (NIF) [to be confirmed], with registered address at [to be confirmed]. For any question about your data you can call us on [to be confirmed].

This policy explains which data we collect through the website, what we use it for and how you can exercise your rights, in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR) and Spanish Organic Law 3/2018 (LOPDGDD).

2 · What data we process

When you book a workshop appointment we ask only for what we need to look after you: name, phone, email, the make, model, year and registration plate of the bike, mileage and, if it is a breakdown, the symptom you have noticed.

We also record the technical data needed to run and protect the site (IP address, browser, date and time of the request). We do not ask for a tax ID or payment details to book an appointment.

3 · What we use your data for

To manage your workshop appointment: record it, confirm it, remind you of it and handle change or cancellation requests. This data is passed to the workshop management software so the mechanic knows which bike is coming in and what needs checking.

To send you transactional messages about your request (confirmation, reminder, reply to an enquiry or complaint). We do not send marketing messages without your express consent.

To deal with your enquiries, incidents and complaints, and to meet the legal obligations that apply to us as a workshop and as a business.

4 · Legal basis

Processing your data to manage the appointment and communicate with you about it is based on the performance of the pre-contractual or contractual relationship you request (art. 6.1.b GDPR).

Processing technical data for site security is based on our legitimate interest in protecting it (art. 6.1.f GDPR). Compliance with tax and consumer obligations is based on legal obligation (art. 6.1.c GDPR). Any other use, such as marketing, will require your consent (art. 6.1.a GDPR).

5 · Who we share your data with

Your data is shared with the providers we need in order to serve you, who act as processors under contract: the provider of the workshop management software (ERP), the transactional email provider and the hosting and infrastructure providers of the website.

We do not pass your data to third parties for their own purposes. If a provider processes data outside the European Economic Area, we make sure appropriate safeguards are in place, such as standard contractual clauses approved by the European Commission.

6 · How long we keep your data

Appointment data is kept for as long as our relationship with you lasts and afterwards for the periods required by tax and consumer law to deal with any liability (as a general rule, five years from the last interaction).

Technical security data is kept for a maximum of twelve months. If you ask us to delete your data, we will block it and keep it only at the disposal of the authorities for the legally required periods.

7 · Your rights and how to exercise them

You can access your data, correct it, ask for it to be deleted, object to processing, request restriction or portability, and withdraw any consent you have given at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of earlier processing.

To exercise them, call us on [to be confirmed] stating which right you wish to exercise and attaching a document that lets us identify you. We will reply within one month at most, extendable in complex cases as the GDPR allows.

8 · Complaints to the supervisory authority

If you think we have not handled your data properly, we would appreciate you telling us first so we can put it right. In any case, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Spanish Data Protection Agency (AEPD) at www.aepd.es.

You may also contact the Catalan Data Protection Authority where it has jurisdiction.

9 · Changes to this policy

This is version 0.1 of the privacy policy, in force since 1 September 2026. If we change it, we will publish the new version on this page with its effective date.

We recommend checking it from time to time, especially before giving us new data.

Provisional text pending review by a legal adviser. Identification details, deadlines and versions are generated from the business settings.
